Staff Biographies

Linda Solarek Showalter, Practice Administrator

Linda Solarek Showalter is the Administrator for Frederick T. Sutter, MD, LLC, an integrative medical practice and Lifestyle Medicine Consultants, a consulting group specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation as well as the implementation of Lifestyle Medicine in the allopathic medical office.  A graduate of Slippery Rock University, her clinical experience includes cardiac rehabilitation, medical/surgical patient care and orthopaedics.  Ms. Showalter crossed over into practice management first as the clinical manager for a multi-physician orthopaedic clinic,  later as a practice administrator and then as a practice management consultant specializing in training, operations, marketing and implementation of lifestyle medicine in the medical office.  As an entrepreneur/owner of a national company including training facilities and product sales Ms. Showalter gained expertise in marketing and streamlining operations, eventually selling the business and returning to the medical field, joining Dr. Sutter’s practice in 2006.  Her passion for prevention inspires her clients to offer their patients lasting solutions for health and wellbeing.  Linda enjoys traveling, motorcycle riding with her husband, working out, participating in sprint triathlons, boating and her 2 Golden Retriever

Elaine Signorini, BS, RN

Elaine has been a Registered Nurse, practicing in Maryland, since 1992.  Her nursing experience includes diabetic, medical/surgical, ambulatory surgery, orthopedics, geriatrics, hemodialysis, and therapeutic massage.  She has been working with Dr. Sutter since 2001 and has had much success counseling patients in our nutrition and weight loss programs.  Elaine received a certification in Plant-Based Nutrition through Cornell University in 2011, and is a certified First Line Therapy® Lifestyle Educator.  She has attended several conferences and seminars over the past 12 years, on advanced nutritional interventions, taught by industry leading educators.  She stays very active with spinning, distance cycling, amateur astronomy and traveling with her husband.  Having lived in Brazil for four years, she is also fluent in Portugese.

Anne Barr, Clinical Manager

Anne has been in the medical field for over 24 years and has been a part of Dr. Sutter’s practice since 2007.  She has in-depth knowledge of the practice including medical assisting, weight-loss counseling, patient services and aesthetic counseling.  Anne also acts as the Practice Clinical Manager and markets the Weight Loss 5×5® program.  She is a native of Maryland where she attended Anne Arundel Community College to receive her CNA, PCT2 certification.  Anne is a certified Interpreter for the Deaf and served as an EMT for several years.  She currently lives on the Eastern Shore with her husband, four children, and her dog Dozer.  Anne loves taking vacations and spending time with her family.

Cherie Martin, Billing Manager/Patient Care Coordinator

Cherie has been in the medical field for 28 years and has been an integral part of Dr. Sutter’s practice since 2006.  She has in-depth knowledge of most aspects of the practice including medical billing, medical assisting, weight-loss counseling, patient services, and aesthetic counseling.  She is a native of Maryland, where she attended the University of Maryland, majoring in Elementary Education before choosing a career in the medical field.  She currently lives in southern Anne Arundel County with her husband, two daughters and two dogs, Izzy and Puffin.  Cherie loves the hot summer weather, relaxing by the pool and traveling.  She has traveled to the Bahamas, South Africa, and Antigua as well as many states throughout the U.S. and is always anxiously planning her next big excursion.

Andrea Sewell, Administrative Coordinator

Andrea is our Administrative Coordinator. She has been in the health care industry since 2001.  Since joining the practice in February of 2013 she has excelled at managing the schedule, assisting patients checking in and out, filling supplement orders, rooming patients and numerous other administrative tasks.  In her free time she helps run one of the largest all girls basketball organizations in the state of Maryland.  Andrea absolutely adores women’s basketball.  She enjoys spending family time with her husband, 12 year old daughter and 8 year old son.
