5 Simple Skin Care Tips for Spring

  1. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!  Start from the inside out by drinking plenty of pure, clean water.  Limit intake of beverages containing caffeine or alcohol, as these can be very dehydrating and will contribute to wrinkles!
  2. Cleanse and moisturize your skin morning and evening with high quality products that are appropriate for your skin type. Consult with a Licensed Esthetician, to get recommendations from a broad selection of medical-grade and/or organic products.
  3. Add healthy fats/oils to your diet.  For example, omega 3 oils from fish and some seeds help to keep the cell membrane fluid and flexible, which helps with transport of nutrients into the cell and toxins out of the cell, and helps to keep skin soft and smooth.  Coconut oil is delicious and a healthy high-heat cooking oil, and can also be applied directly to dry or irritated skin!
  4. Exercise daily, to elevate your heart rate and increase blood circulation to your skin.  A good sweat helps to detoxify the skin; just be sure to cleanse as soon as possible afterwards to remove surface impurities.
  5. Deep cleanse and exfoliate with a professional service from a Licensed Esthetician.  It feels good and is good for you, start the season off with your best face forward!
